Bloom Fine Art and Antiques is an eBay PowerSeller and a former Sothebys.com Associate. The owners are the third generation in their family to be involved with the arts and antique trade. We are private brokers who sell fine art and antiques online from our office/warehouse in Brooklyn, New York. We have been a member of eBay since 2000 and have a 99.5% positive feedback rating with a score of over 7000.

Lisa Bloom
Lisa Bloom teaches art history and women's studies and has a Ph.D from the University of California. She brings many years of background in art and antiques to this enterprise. She has taught at a number of West Coast universities and has published articles and edited an anthology on gender and contemporary art titled With Other Eyes: Looking at Race and Gender in Visual Culture" (University of Minnesota Press, 1999) and more recently, Jewish Identities in American Feminist Art: Ghosts of Ethnicity( Routledge, 2006). In July of 2000, she completed the required exam in Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice from the Appraisers Association of America. In November of 2007 she presented a paper titled "The Contradictory Circulation of Art and Antiques on Ebay" at the annual Appraisers Association of America conference in New York City.
Mary Battaglia
Director of Paintings, Prints & Works on Paper
Mary Battaglia received her MA in Fine and Decorative Art from Sotheby's Institute of Art-London. Prior to her studies abroad, Mary completed her BA in Art History and Eastern Religions from Boston University. During her academic career, she worked in various capacities within the visual arts until she narrowed her interest to the commercial art-world leading her to Bloom Fine Art & Antiques.
Amy Gale
Director of Decorative Arts & Sculpture
Beyond overseeing the Decorative Arts department of Bloom Fine Art & Antiques, Amy Gale also writes about antiques and collecting. Her work has appeared in many publications including the Hartford Courant, Cape Cod & Islands Home, Art & Antiques, and Victorian Homes. Amy received a B.A. in History from The Evergreen State College, followed by an M.A. in the History of Decorative Arts from Cooper-Hewitt/Parsons. Prior to Bloom Antiques, Amy taught for many years at the New York Institute of Technology.
